Banjo Hall of Fame Induction Banquet

A perfect beginning to a perfect weekend. The National Four-String Banjo Hall of Fame Museum will open its three-day Guthrie Jazz Banjo Festival celebration by recognizing its 2003 Hall of Fame Honorees. This prestigious award is given to an individual (living or deceased), musical group, or manufacturer whose career accomplishments or individual contributions have had a positive impact on the art or industry of the four-string banjo. The honorees are as follows: Cathy Reilly-Finn, Performance; Scotty Plummer, Performance (Posthumous); Charlie Tagawa, Instruction & Education; C.C. Richilieu, Design & Manufacture; and Ralph Martin, Promotion. This year's dinner and ceremony, emceed by Tulsa's own Roger Hale, will be held Thursday, May 22nd, 7 p.m., in the American Legion Hall, 123 N. First St., Downtown Guthrie, Oklahoma. Cost for the banquet is $30 per person and can be purchased at the door.
