Purpose

To educate individuals in the methods and techniques of playing tenor and plectrum banjos for personal enjoyments and/or public performance and to preserve and promote the history, traditions, music and play techniques of the 4-string banjo.

Classes

The IBC offers various classes throughout the year on the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels plus other special classes. The home of the IBC, where classes are taught, is the Banjo Hall of Fame Museum in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

However, certified IBC instructors will travel to other areas if enough registered students warrants the change.

Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of experienced knowledgeable instructors who work one-on-one to develop each students skills.

Facilities

The Banjo College utilizes facilities geared towards aiding the learning environment.
