Description:

This class is for those that wish to begin the exploration of improvisation.  The class will involve learning patterns and concepts for building your vocabulary of improvisational techniques.  Examples of these techniques will be shown within the concept of tunes and chord progressions we play every day.  The student will learn to play riffs, licks, and musical motifs giving them the foundation to build their improvisational vocabulary.

In the solo arranging workshop, the student will learn to expand songs into a more complex presentation.  Using layering techniques, scales, chord progressions and rhythmic devices, the student will turn an ordinary song into an impressive solo arrangement.  Much of what the student learns in the improv. workshop will be put to use in the arranging seminar.

This is a very exciting package and has generated much interest.  It would be a good idea to sign up early for this one.
