Donald L. Coffin


Donald L. Coffin is a native of Guthrie, Oklahoma with a B.S. from Oklahoma State University in Agricultural Education and Animal Science. After teaching Vocational Agriculture at Guthrie High School for eight years, he entered public service as the State Representative for Logan and Noble Counties for two terms.

He then served as State Historic Preservation Officer for two years, was a legislative assistant to Governor Boren for two years and the City Planner for the City of Guthrie for two years. He is an active member of the Guthrie community, having served as Public Relations Officer at First National Bank and Past Director of Guthrie Public Transportation System.

Coffin has been president of the Guthrie Arts and Humanities Council for 20 years and has served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Abell Community Church since 1964.

Co-owner of Granny Had One Restaurant in Guthrie, Coffin and his wife have six children.
