Hi everyone. I have an old banjo that my dad owned and I'd like to get some background info on it: Age? Value, as to if it is worth restoring. Etc. It has a hard case and the banjo itself says "Remo Weather King Banjo" and that it is made in the USA. On the neck/head (?) where you tighten the strings it looks like pearl and says "May Bell" on it. Around the banjo it has a band of this pearl-looking material. I know absolutely nothing about banjos. Anyone have any ideas about this one? Thank you in advance.

I might be interested in it if you decide to sell. You failed to mention if it's a 4 or 5 string banjo. I believe they were pretty common. Also, could you give me the weight of the banjo. That helps determine if it's a really good or average banjo. Sounds strange but it's true. My cell phone is 928/970-8000 (Phoenix) Joe.
