Django Reinhardt played a 6 string banjo early on. Can anyone help me find out the brand and model. Thanks, Cliff

Hi Cliff,
I only know of a rather blurred photo that shows Django with a 6-string banjo and of a recording that features him playing accompagniment of a waltz. I doubt that the picture allows determining brand or model. If it helps you I can scan it and send it by PM.

Hi Gerhard,
I appreciate the offer, but if it's blurred it probably won't help much. Gibson and Vega pegheads were pretty distinctive, so if that's visible it might help. Most Vegas had a large single star in the peghead.
