I am a member of the Quaker City String band. we perform in the Philadelphia Mummers parade on new years day. Our band competes against other string bands to capture 1st place. We perform our own music, choreography and we wear professionaly made costumes. This parade is over 100 years old. We have a variety of instruments including banjo, saxophone, drums accordion, bass fiddles and glockenspiel.

Our banjo players play strictly 4 string banjos and we either play plectrum or tenor. Some of our plectrum players have Bacon and Day plectrum banjos and I wanted to see if anyone out there might have or know of someone who has a B&D; for sale. I might be in the market.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Fletch,
I have a 4 string Bacon & Day Serenader
Silver Bell Plectrum Banjo. It originally was played by a family member who passed away in 1941. It is for sale but
I have no idea, at this time, as to it's value. Any suggestions wpold be appreciated.
